Sewing

Sewing is a wonderful way to strengthen the tiny muscles in our hands. Sewing helps develop concentration, perceptual skills and the simple satisfaction you gain from working hard to create something beautiful of your very own.

We sew a quilt depicting the five goals of a Sacred Heart education.

Goal one is represented by an open heart: the heart is open so love can flow both in and out freely.

Goal Two: is represented by the two trees on our Staircase of Intellectuality.

Goal Three: is represented by our hands and the good work they can do

Goal Four: is represented by a silver and gold circle, inspired by the old favorite Brownie song

Goal  Five: is depicted by our name and age.  This shows how we have grown and can make wise choices.
