Worms, Worms, Worms!

It's been all about worms in Science this month! They are the perfect topic of study especially on the heels of Earth Day - after all, worms are nature's recyclers!  We learned all about the habit's of worms, their food source, shelter, etc.  We also went on a nature walk out on the trail to see what we could dig up!  Below are a few pictures of our artwork done in honor of worms and spring.  The children spent some time observing live worms to take note of their movements and shapes prior to beginning their art assignment.

Mrs. Church shows the children how beautiful their artwork turned out!

Some chose to do flowers and worms, while others chose all worms!

In both pictures here, you can see the worms milling around underground!  Aren't these a fantastic perspective?

Gorgeous!

Cinco de Mayo!!

The children celebrated the 5th of May on May 2nd in our Spanish class!  What a fiesta!
